Above the Snowline is out today and here is the cover:

This is what you'll get if you order the book, regardless of the pictures showing on Amazon and everywhere else on the net. This is the final cover, it's a very beautiful production indeed. Order yours now! Order more for your friends, family and pet wolves.

Long time lurker, first time commenter. Just thought the release of your new book would be a good oppurtunity for me to tell you how much I've loved and enjoyed The Castle series; once I'd read "The Year Of Our War" I was hooked (poor pun, sorry) and I've devoured everything afterwards. They're fantastic books, the kind I'm having trouble finding anything similar to at all. Keep up the good work :)

Thank you, bug. You're right, there's nothing like them. It's lonely being a genius. ;-)

Hi Steph,

Hot Damn! Nothing like starting off a new decade with a new Swainston book. Any plans on making an autographed edition available like you did last time through Goldsboro Books?

All the best,

JKS

Yes, you can order signed editions from Goldsboro Books or Cold Tonnage. Don't worry that the old cover art is showing on the Goldsboro website, you will receive the decent version.

O.K., Thanks Steph, Done & Dusted.

Glad to see you're still using Goldsboro, they did a super job of packaging last go-round. The lipstick-encrusted photo of you was a nice touch too. ;)

Unless I'm blind, I'm not seeing the US release date on Amazon. Is that known? I may just have a UK friend bring it over. :)

awesome news!

I have just finished reading the first three for the third time and now I'm gearing up for more. such interesting, different fantasy. jant is one of the most interesting characters i have come across in fiction for a number of years.

extremely well done steph, looking forward to above the snow line!

Thank you, Tim and Duncan.

Raymond, there won't be a US version as no US publisher has bought it. Any fans who want to see an American edition should tell Diana GIll at Eos, or feel free to lobby your favourite publisher instead -- I'd prefer to find one who treats it well instead of trying to squeeze it into a heroic fantasy straitjacket.

But it's easy to find -- you could order it from Goldsboro, they have good packaging, or get Amazon.com to ship it to you -- the hardback is right here on Amazon and the large-format paperback has a lot of sellers too.

I've got a trip to London coming up in a month so I think I'll just coordinate with someone there to have it waiting for me. If you have an email address for Diana Gill, I'll definitely ping her though.
